MVA / CONSENT MANAGEMENT

Consent management that connects to your website.

A cookie banner is visible. But does the website respond to the choices people make?

A consent management platform, or CMP, can present privacy choices and manage preferences. Getting it set up properly matters: the banner, website integrations and tracking tools need to work together. Installing the platform is a starting point, and the connections deserve attention too.

I help organizations select, set up and troubleshoot consent management platforms, including how they connect to Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics and advertising tools. If you already have a CMP, improving its configuration may be more useful than replacing it.

A CMP is one part of broader privacy work. It does not guarantee compliance or protection from lawsuits, and not every organization needs one. I help with the technical setup; your organization makes its legal and policy decisions, with counsel as appropriate.

Does any of this sound familiar?

  • Your website has a banner, but nobody is sure which tools it controls.
  • The platform is installed, but connecting it to your tags has become confusing.
  • A redesign or new advertising tool has changed how the website collects information.
  • Your team needs help translating approved privacy requirements into website behavior.
  • Your reports changed after a consent update, and you want to understand why.
  • A California website-tracking demand letter has raised questions about the tools on your site.

Help with the part that needs attention

Choosing a CMP involves more than comparing banner designs. Your website platform, marketing tools and team's ability to manage the setup all matter. I can help you work through the technical fit.

An existing installation can also need attention. Default settings, tag behavior, saved preferences and integrations outside the tag manager can affect whether choices reach the intended tools. I can help investigate confusing behavior and work on the configuration or integrations involved.

When Google Consent Mode is part of the setup, I can help connect that work to your Google tags and interpret what a collection change may mean for reporting. The work depends on your website, requirements and the problem you want to address.

A California tracking demand has raised questions?

A demand about your website's tracking can reveal a practical problem: nobody is quite sure which tools are running or how the consent setup connects to them. I can help you understand the technical setup and work on the CMP configuration and tracking connections involved.
